Sunny Egg Sandwich

No oatmeal this morning – I forgot to make some the night before. So I made an egg and cheese sandwich on a toasted Orowheat thin. 002 009 It was enjoyed on the bitterly cold car ride to work.

It didn’t hold me over as well as oatmeal though. Maybe a more substantial bread would do the trick? Or a piece of fruit?

Before lunch I really thought about ditching the gym and going to get gumbo and crawfish pies from the Jambalaya Shoppe, but I told myself that I had no excuse. I had already missed one gym session this week (for Monday’s Roly Poly), plus I had an umbrella and a coat. No excuses! I was practically drooling thinking about gumbo, so I scarfed a Clif bar. 013

That isn’t drool on my desk in the picture, it’s from my water glass. I promise.

For lunch I had leftover chili a la Greens.012

On the side I had a piece of Sargento sharp cheddar cheese and a few pilfered Tostito chips left over from the office Christmas party.015

Not exactly the healthiest side items, but I am going with it today.

For dinner we had pasta with red sauce (Newman’s Sockarooni – the best jarred sauce) and shrimp. 032 Mr. Greens made this dish, and kudos to him. I licked my plate. I had part of a light beer with dinner, and he had this: 037

I like how it says, “You’re not worthy.”
